Impressario of SCREEN Events Karen Vock brings her unique experience in the digital presentation industry and extensive contacts in the Chicago Loop’s business and cultural communities to SCREEN. Karen most recently served as vice president of marketing for the iconic Chicago Theatre and Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre, host venue for the Academy Awards®. Prior to that position, she was based in New York as vice president of distribution for the new media company, Broadway Worldwide, which recorded Broadway musicals live in performance in digital high definition, for distribution via digital cinema, television and home video. Karen serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Chicago Loop Alliance and contributed time and expertise to that organization as co-chair and chair of Looptopia 2007 and 2008, respectively.

SCREEN’s state-of-the art technology was designed by the renowned James Bond, President of Chicago-based Full Aperture Systems, Inc. One of the most respected and established motion picture projection specialists in the world, James works regularly with the Sundance Film Festival, the Chicago International Film Festival, the Gene Siskel Film Center theatres at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Waschowski Brothers (The Matrix films, V for Vendetta and Speed Racer). Working hand-in-hand with theWit Hotel’s developer Scott Greenberg, James designed SCREEN as the only Loop cinema venue with projection and content security measures that meet Hollywood and Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) standards.
